BOOKING YOUR MISSION:
Prior to selecting your dates, please carefully review all
the information below. Also, please take into consideration all your needs
including time of day, month of year, bus issues, curriculum planning, etc.
Mission Rates for School year of 9/01/04-8/30/05
Cost per mission: $595 ($50 non-refundable deposit required at booking)
Group Size: 18-34 per mission

Rendezvous with Comet Halley

- EVA (Extra Vehicular Activities) ($425
per EVA in addition to Mission fee of $595)
This is an additional 2 hours of programming as a thematic
companion to the scenario you choose. (We require a $50
deposit in addition to your mission deposit).
- "PHOTO OPPORTUNITY" (No Charge)
A great opportunity to have your students photographed in a
flight suit after the mission. It is free of charge and your
students will receive a wallet sized photo of themselves in a
flight suit, with an option to purchase additional photos.
- SCENARIO WORKSHOPS (Teachers attending our
workshop will receive professional development hours).
Returning teachers electing a new scenario or teachers new to
your school and/or our program are required to register for the
appropriate Scenario Workshop. (ie. Teachers who have already
completed a scenario workshop do not have to attend again, unless
changing scenarios). Workshops will be held in September from
8:30 to 3:00. You will be notified as to the exact date on your
confirmation.*
- BOOSTER STAGE WORKSHOPS (Optional) (Teachers
attending our workshop will receive professional development hours).
Available for returning teachers who have already attended a Scenario
Workshop, and who will not be enrolling in a new scenario workshop
have the opportunity to register for one of our NASA-sponsored Booster
Stage Workshops run by a NASA Educator. These optional offerings will
be available to you on October 4th or
5th from 8:30 to 3:00. Learn
about hands-on activities to enhance your classroom; come see an overview
of NASA's educational initiatives and methods of assessing their materials;
hear about NASA's latest developments and more!*
*For each mission booked, one teacher is eligible to attend one of the above workshops. Any additional teachers will automatically incur a $50 charge per workshop.
