The Buehler Challenger & Science Center was created
in 1994 by the Emil Buehler Trust as the 21st center in
the Challenger Learning Center network.
The Buehler Center is dedicated to inspiring students,
educators, and the community in the pursuit of
scientific education.
The Buehler Center employs the concept of simulation in
all of its programming, and offers a choice of three two-hour
space mission simulations
as the focal point of its curriculum-based program. The Center
also offers a selection of professional development opportunities
for educators, public programs, and camps.
Our parent organization, the Challenger Center for Space Science Education, was founded in 1986 by the families of the seven Challenger 51-L astronauts to carry on their mission of exploration and education. It represents a growing, international network of learning centers, currently numbering in excess of 45.
